September 13th-14th concludes our third year of the Husum Supper Club. And what a way to go: A night of luscious seafood, accented with the wonderful farmer’s market bounty of fresh corn, beans, tomatoes, peaches, herbs. I love fresh fish, fish from our own waters, or very near to them; fish that are sustainably raised and harvested. Lingcod, tuna, salmon, halibut, shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters, smelt, seabass … I will treat each one like the precious jewel it is.
Another Goodbye: The Nice Family. My partners in Supper Club these last three years have been the owners of Husum Riverside BnB, The Nice family: Dave and Connie and their children Aaron and Rachel have recently sold the inn. For our last Supper Club with them, Aaron and Rachel and their families will all return home to be with their parents. Please join me in thanking the Nices for their hospitality and good will as they move on to the next chapter in their life.
