• Why Join A Chamber?Benefits of Joining the Mt Adams Chamber

There are many reasons for a business or non-profit organization to join their local Chamber of Commerce, one being the benefits and services that a Chamber can provide to help you succeed and make connections within the community.  (See our benefit package below.)

But more importantly, when you join the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce, your Membership Decal displayed on your storefront window lets customers, and fellow business owners, know that you are committed to your community and that you are partnering with them to grow a strong, vibrant economy.

Our Electronic Newsletter is for you to promote your business, specials, events and to submit items of interest relevant to what you do. Distribution via email is 2x monthly, with short blasts as needed.  Are you signed up?

Share your Event, Promotion or Member-to-Member Deal. It is up to you how often you provide us with updates. We can also share these on our social media platforms as well, which reaches a broad array of people.  We encourage you to post your events onto the MACC website event calendar.

Co-op Advertising Opportunities:  Take advantage of special co-op advertising prices when you place an ad with MACC in The Gorge Magazine (quarterly), the Columbia River Gorge to Mt. Hood Magazine (annual) and other publications.  Members receive discounted rates when they place their ads on our Chamber’s co-op page and can expand their marketing reach by participation.

Event Participation/Sponsorship OpportunitiesGorge-ous Night in Olympia and Salem is a chance to promote our area to the legislators at the Capital with this showcase. We host the Northshore Expo, a community business fair open to the public. You can also participate in the 4th of July Parade, Halloween Scenes, WS Wine Walk and other events we plan to create or assist with in the future. Let us know what is important to you!

Member Directory – This annual publication is a great way to showcase your business to local community, as well as to those who may be relocating and looking to become familiar with the area. Upgrade to a larger ad to stand out, highlight features and get attention. Become a member by mid December to be included in the annual printing. Online version as well.

Leadership Luncheon Workshop/Forum - Topics range from better business practices, (such as SEO optimization, marketing strategies, creating promotional materials) and community education workshops, (health care directives, fire safety in the Gorge, housing issues).  We are open to ideas!

Chamber Ambassador Team:  If you like meeting people and attending events, this is the group for you!  Ambassadors contact members to inform them of activities/events and encourage their participation.  Volunteers attend our Chamber events (Ribbon Cuttings, Morning Connection, After Hours, Leadership Workshops, Northshore Expo, & more) and assist with greeting guests & raffle ticket sales at events.  Ambassadors may also help at the Visitor Center, assisting guests with suggestions & directions to local destinations.  The opportunities to participate, and have fun, are endless! Let’s talk!

Networking Events - Host an Event to bring more exposure to your business/organization:

Business After Hours Receptions - Typically held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at member businesses.  These are casual networking events hosted by member businesses (with food, wine & door prizes).  These events give our members the opportunity to showcase their business and make new connections within the community. Co-hosting with another member business can be a great way to increase value and impact. Bring your staff!

Morning Connections – Held on the 3rd Thursday at member locations from 8-9am. We begin with introductions, the Featured Member has a 10-15 minute presentation and then we get to know each other, meet new members, strengthen relationships, exchange leads and mingle over refreshments.

Ribbon Cuttings and Open Houses - To welcome new members, and to mark special occasions.  These are great ways to promote your business, whether you are opening a new business or celebrating a milestone anniversary or remodel.  The Chamber markets these special events by inviting other members for a photo-op, posting the event on our website, newsletter, and Facebook pages, as well as providing signage to help direct traffic to your business.

Board Meetings - Members are welcome to attend Board Meetings and are encouraged to participate on the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors or on a Committee.   Check the website calendar or newsletter for details, or call the Chamber office at 509-493-3630 or email me at mtadamschamber@gmail.com.

Reservation/Booking Service:  Many of our visitors, both local and international, ask us for references and to make reservations for lodging and other activities.  We can act as a reservation/booking agent, to not only refer guests to your business, but to make sure that they do business with YOU!

Visitor Center / Bulletin Board - Banners:  Advertise your special events in the shadow-box style, weather-proof bulletin board at the Chamber Office/Visitor Center. We also have a limited amount of space rentals for your banner. You will have 24/7 exposure to a captive audience – people looking for things to do and places to go!  Your events/specials are free to post, as a special benefit to our members. We also display your business cards and brochures in our Visitor Information Center. Please share your rack cards with us or let us know if you need help designing one.

We look forward to the opportunity to serve you and help your business thrive.

Let’s talk soon about how we can work together in 2024 ~ Thank you!
