TEEN TECH NIGHT: VIRTUAL REALITY AT THE WHITE SALMON VALLEY COMMUNITY LIBRARY
Teens ages 12-18 are welcome to join us at the White Salmon Valley Community Library for our annual Teen Tech Month event on Friday March 29th from 6:30-8:30pm.
Explore virtual reality and game design engines while you learn about the skills needed to develop applications for the virtual reality platform. We will use Oculus® virtual reality headsets to examine the technology from a game designer perspective and then collaborate in a game design engine to build and test simple VR game mechanics. Space is limited. Show up on time to secure your spot.
Per Oculus® regulations, attendees must by 13 years or older to use the virtual reality headsets. All attendees must have a waiver signed by their legal guardian. You can download and print waiver here: http://bit.ly/ocwaiver. There will also be waivers available at the library to be signed during drop-off. Signed waivers will be collected by library staff at the start of the program. Participants under 13, or without a waiver form, will not be allowed to wear the headsets, but can engage with the other elements of the event.
