This powerful independent documentary explores the lives of women in adventure sports—sharing stories that challenge stereotypes, confront systemic barriers, and foster connection across cultures. Directed by Czech filmmaker Honza Pova?an and produced by Victoria-based Grace Gorman, Flow blends breathtaking cinematography with intimate storytelling, following women in sports such as whitewater kayaking, climbing, and highlining.
Creators and co-producers of the project, Denisa Krásná and Alena Rainsberry, will be travelling from the Czech Republic and the United States to present the film in person! Their book, Flow: Women’s Counternarratives from Rivers, Rock, and Sky, will be available for sale from our friends at Waucoma Books. A 15-minute Q&A session with the producers will take place after the screening and book signing.
