DESCRIPTION:The Gorge Kids Triathlon returns to Waterfront Park in Hood River on Sunday\, Sept. 15th! All elementary-aged kids are encouraged to join us for a safe\, fun\, and non-competitive triathlon. Kids can swim or wade through the protected swim beach\, then choose from various length bike and run courses along paths and roads closed to traffic. Proceeds from the event promote health and fitness by enhancing the physical education programs in all 5 Hood River County elementary schools. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and participants should be ready for the opening ceremony and pre-race instructions at 9:45 a.m. by the swim beach. Food vendors will be on site selling snacks\, coffee\, and other refreshments. For more information\, to register athletes\, or to sign up as a volunteer\, please visit www.gorgekidstri.com. Sign up before 9/12/19 for the pre-registration fee of $20. Fee is $30 on the day of the event.
