DESCRIPTION:The City of Bingen will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at Daubenspeck Park on Wednesday\, December 13\, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. The City invites the community to join us to celebrate the remodeled playground at Daubenspeck. \n\nThe park's transformation includes a new play structure for small children\, a merry-go-round\, spinning elements\, and new swings that include an accessible swing\, a parent/baby swing\, and a disk swing. Outdated or nonfunctional components of the larger play structure have been replaced\, six benches added\, and four new picnic tables round out the improvements. Funding for these improvements came from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).\n\n\n\nBased on community feedback\, Bingen's elected officials prioritized outdoor recreational improvements at the park as a meaningful use of the ARPA funds. The City of Bingen is extremely grateful to our Public Works team\, the Bingen Volunteer Fire Department\, the Maintenance team at InSitu\, and every volunteer who donated their time and effort to the park remodel.
